Cottesmore Amateurs are still awaiting their first league win this season following a disappointing 1-0 home defeat by Leicestershire Constabulary on Saturday.

The Amateurs grabbed a useful away point on thew opening day of the Leicestershire Senior League premier division and they picked a up a good midweek cup win over Saffron Dynamo.

Cottesmore Amateurs Reserves enjoyed a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Lutterworth Town Reserves on Thursday to record their first win in City Goldsmiths Combination Division 2.

Michael Nelson and Robbie Pearce both scored twice to power Rutland Rangers to a 5-1 thrashing of Alconbury on Saturday.

Steve Smith got the other goal to make it two wins in three games for Rangers in the premier division of the Peterborough League.

Uppingham Town are still waiting for their first point after a 6-3 defeat at Leverington Sports in the same league.

Andy Sayers netted two of Uppingham's goals and Will Thomas scored the other.
