Ashamed of park
Published Date:

I am writing in regard to Sunday afternoon in the local park.
I would firstly like to say how enjoyable the bands are. Hooray! somewhere to go for us older generation.
But sorry to say, I was ashamed at the state of the park once again.
There was rubbish everywhere and I found myself having to apologise to an American visitor for the state it was in.
There were youths riding bicyles on the paths and groups trying to take over the new young people's play area. What an example for Rutland.
But who is there to put things right for those who want to enjoy what little we have in Rutland.
I was a single mother with four children. I did not allow my children to go around making other peoples lives a misery.
